French anti-Semitism warms up Israeli officials call for Jews to "go home" in France

Reference News Network reported on February 20 French media said that since the end of last year, the yellow vest movement has often accompanied anti-Semitic and racist words and deeds, and recently the Jewish cemetery has been sprayed with Nazi symbols. In the face of rising anti-Semitism, Israeli officials have claimed that Jews living in France should not stay for a long time and should return to Israel.

According to the French Express on February 19th, French Prime Minister Edward Phillips said in an interview on the 19th that if a large number of French Jews choose to return to their hometown, it will be a failure of French collectivism. The Israeli immigration minister did not agree with this statement. On the same day, he called on the French Jews to go home and return to Israel.

The Israeli Immigration Minister said: The Jewish cemetery awakened the memory of the dark history of the Jewish people.

The report pointed out that this is not the first time Israel has issued a similar appeal. In 2015, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told French Jews that Israel is their home. At the time, four Jews were killed by terrorists in a supermarket in Paris. In 2004, the then Israeli Prime Minister Sharon also called on the Jews in France to return to Israel immediately because of the anti-Semitic incident in France. (Compile / Tang Libin)
