The US Senate and House of Representatives pass the Border Security Act and still need Trump to sign

New Beijing News According to CNN, on February 14, local time, the US Senate and House of Representatives passed the bipartisan border security bill to prevent the government from closing again.

The House of Representatives passed the bill with 300 votes in favor and 128 votes against. Earlier, the Senate passed the bill with 83 votes in favor and 16 votes against.

US President Trump will decide whether to sign the bill on the evening of February 15. If the bill comes into effect, the US government will receive funding to function properly by the end of September.

CNN quoted White House officials as saying that Trump would either use the administrative order to declare the country into a state of emergency to collect funds to support the construction of the border wall. The official revealed that Trump will collect $8 billion in funds.
