Xinhua News Agency, Khartoum, February 5th A suicide attempt occurred on a Sudanese passenger plane on the 4th. The passenger plane then landed safely at the Khartoum International Airport.
The Sudanese News Agency quoted Tahir, the head of Khartoum International Airport, as saying on the 5th that the incident occurred on a passenger plane flying from Cairo to the Khartoum. A passenger attempted to enter the cockpit but was successfully stopped by the crew and the aircraft subsequently landed safely.
Tahir said that Khartoum International Airport is all normal and air traffic has not been affected. The passenger was immediately transferred to the relevant department after the plane landed.
The passenger was reportedly deported by the Egyptian government because of immigration issues.
